Chilean producer Viña Ventisquero has appointed Kingsland Drinks to be its distributor in the UK for both the on- and off-trades.

With immediate effect the producer’s entire portfolio will now be handled by the Manchester-based company.

Sales director Américo Hernandez said: “The last few years have seen some major changes in the UK market but today we are very happy to announce our new relationship with Kingsland Drinks, which we believe is founded on several parallel principles.

“We are both family-owned companies, and we share cultural pillars – from what we are driven to achieve in the UK wine trade to strong beliefs in quality and innovation, and social responsibility.”

Kingsland’s buying director, Karen Wilson, added: “Kingsland Drinks are delighted to be representing Viña Ventisquero in the UK market and we look forward to growing Ventisquero’s awareness and distribution in the off-trade, on-trade, independent and wholesale sectors.

“The Ventisquero brand will not only add further depth and variety to the Kingsland portfolio, but it will also give Kingsland the opportunity to work with another global partner who are open to innovation and product development, which will help in a changing UK wine market.”
