Dudley’s Stone, Chenin Blanc

Discovered in 1869, the ‘Star of South Africa’ was the first large diamond find in the country. On hearing of the stone, the Earl of Dudley purchased it, had it mounted on a head ornament with 95 smaller diamonds and gave it to the countess of Dudley – it was hence known as the ‘Dudley Diamond’.

Pale straw in colour, this Chenin Blanc opens with an inviting tropical nose layered with subtle herbaceous notes. The palate is vibrant and expressive, showcasing ripe tropical fruit complemented by luscious stone fruit flavours. Fresh and beautifully balanced, it delivers a lively yet elegant finish.

Serve chilled, this wine is ideal with spicy Asian seafood dishes.
