Employee Owned Business
Employee Ownership secures the future of the business, provides a pathway for succession planning and enables our members to benefit from the growth in the business.
To put it simply, Employee Ownership means employees have a say and a stake in the company they work for. In our case, our Members shares are held on our behalf in an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT).
Our Board of Trustees is charged with looking after the best interests of the co-owners of the company. The board consists of two founding members, an external trustee & chair, and a number of employee trustees. This ensures our members receive feedback from board meetings and have a say in how the business is run.

Employee Ownership Day
For the last twelve years, EO Day has grown into a sector-wide celebration, empowering thousands of employee owners and sector champions to showcase the many benefits and impacts of EO in the UK.
Since becoming Employee Owned in 2021, we have come together annually and celebrated what being Employee Owned means to us.
Our EO events in 2022 were held on site at Kingsland Drinks with the whole business attending over a few sessions. We had a business update from a number of the senior team, including Ed, our Managing Director.
We also had plenty of time to mingle with other members, a BBQ cooked by some of our team at Kingsland, and various outdoor games and activities, including a pretty competitive tug-of-war.
2023 was our second full year under EO and a step-change for our annual EO get-together. We closed down the whole site for a day and all met at Salford Red Devils ground for business briefings and team building. We even had the whole business taking part in a huge percussion session, ending with Kingsland becoming an orchestra!
We finished our 2023 EO day with a showcase of some of the drinks we are most proud of, from wines and spirits to non-alcoholic, there was something for everyone, and a few hours at the end of the day to spend time with colleagues over a drink or two.
