Dragan Poznanovic

Before joining Kingsland I worked in Croatia as a mechanic in the agricultural industry. When I first arrived in the UK I worked for a removals company before running a catering business for approximately 5 years. I also worked for the local council as a fencing contractor – so a varied career!
Kingsland was recommended to me by an employee back in 2008, I was looking for job to suit family life and preferably nightshifts. My children were young and this allowed me to do school runs etc.
I joined Kingsland as a temp in April 2008 as a Production Operator on an 8 month contract and have been here ever since.
In February 2009 I was given a permanent job, and 2 months later in April 2009 I got a Grade 1 promotion (today’s grade D). In 2013 I was promoted again to Line Leader which I did until 2017 when I was promoted to Shift Change over Coordinator, I worked in this position until 2020/21.
From there I moved on to become a Shift Manager on a 12 months FTC, after which I was promoted to the position permanently.
None of the above would be possible without the people at Kingsland who have helped me from day one. Supporting me in learning to operate machines, processes, and operations. Managers who have pushed me to do better, to learn more and long serving staff who have trained and supported me.
Kingsland has had a positive impact on my career and life, people have recognised talent in me and helped me to develop. I have been treated well and feel valued and have made some friends for life .
In April 2008 I began on a temporary contract – I am still here and hope to be for another 23 years until retirement!
