This is a true family owned estate and its history can be traced back to 1860 when Eric’s great grandmother, Pauline, was selling her wines on the market. The family owned estate is now selling wines all over the world and has all the modern winemaking facilities you would expect from medal winning producers. However the winery still maintains the tradition of producing in their winery based in the Loire riverside village of Thauvenay in the Sancerre appellation the most exceptionally bright, fresh clean Sauvignon Blancs and Pinot Noirs. The vineyards now extend over thirty-two acres around Thauvenay on the southeastern hills of Sancerre. The parcels of vines cover 3 villages : Thauvenay, Ménétréol sous Sancerre and Vinon. The vines are planted on a soil made of 2 / 3 of clay-limestone and 1/3 of flint for Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé, clay and limestone for Menetou-Salon and sand as well as gravels for Quincy. The clay and limestone soils are ideal for Sauvignon and from which it derives its subtle complexity, while the Pinot prefers heavier land where red and rosé wines can keep a light fragrance.

The ethos in the vineyard is to grow and produce wines in the most biological way possible, to protect against diseases and parasites, to care for the vines according to lunar rhythms and to plant grass in the vineyards in order to restore balance and structure to the ground.
