Bediani Winery

Georgia is steeped in tradition, with a wine-making history going back 8000 years. The Bedia Monastery is one of the oldest in Georgia and in the 10th Century monks began making Qvevri wines here. This is where the winery’s name comes from.

“Bedi’’ also means the luck in Georgian language and the word Bediani itself describes someone, whom luck and fortune follows all the time.

The Winery and vineyards are located in the most known and historical micro zone of Georgia, Kindzmarauli (Kakheti region). They own 56 Hectares of vineyards. which are located on 250-550m above sea level, their philosophy is that great wines start in the vineyard.

The winery make diverse styles of wines, using the tradional Qvervi (clay amphora) method and also using modern European fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel. Their aim is to balance tradition and experience with contemporary innovation.
