Simon Shelbourn

Chief Financial Officer

I lead the Finance and IT functions of Kingsland Drinks, support the future strategy of the business, and contribute to the management and development of the company, both internally and externally. The colleagues I work with demonstrate great energy and commitment, making Kingsland a great place to work.

Before joining Kingsland I worked in Finance leadership roles in the food industry for many years, including significant time spent in the Dairy sector.

One thing on my bucket list is I would love to fly in a helicopter – must get round to it!

The last song you listened to was Champagne Problems by Taylor Swift (random playlist – honestly!).

Shontell Tunnicliffe

HR Director

I oversee all aspects of human resources management. Including recruiting, managing employee relations, implementing training and development programs, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and participating in strategic planning to align HR initiatives with the company’s goals.  Most importantly, creating and maintaining a positive work environment while supporting the organization’s growth as an employee-owned business.

Before joining Kingsland, I worked for Steelite International, a ceramics business in Stoke on Trent, this was where my career started in HR when I was 16.  In 2008 after 12 years’ at Steelite, I then moved to Kingsland, my role has evolved during my time, the business has grown, our workforce has developed and we have moved to an employee ownership model, this model has encouraged a positive and inclusive culture, where our employees feel valued and empowered.

The three words I would say describes my role are Development, Engagement and Growth.

When I am not working, I enjoy walking with my toy poodles, watching the Formula one and attending live music, my most recent gig was Orbital.

Non-Executive Director

I have recently completed 40 years working in the alcoholic drinks industry. My initial training was as a brewer with the Guinness group where I worked from 1984 to 1998. I moved to Pernod-Ricard in 1998 ultimately running Pernod-Ricard in the UK for 2011 to 2016.

Alongside my NED role at Kingsland my other main interest is developing a start up distillery in Clonakilty in West Cork in Ireland.

I would hope that my values of integrity, honesty and hard work would be recognised by all. I have found a key success factor in business is ‘educated risk taking’. By that I mean gather as much information as you reasonably can on the problem to be solved then make your decision, stick to it and deliver it. I always look for forgiveness not permission!!

Outside of work I love the outdoors and am a keen cyclist and walker. I cycle approx. 5,000 miles per annum. I am an avid rugby supporter (Leinster and Ireland -apologies!) I also play a bit of tennis.

One thing on my bucket list – to swim at the North Pole!
